Last Sunday afternoon an appreciative audience enjoyed Christmas favourites as performed by The Metropolitan Silver Band at the Gravenhurst Opera House. This concert was organized by The Muskoka Concert Association. Thanks for kicking off the holidays with us!
On Friday night the Muskoka Concert Association welcomed this wonderful group of musicians to the stage of Gravenhurst Opera House stage. They presented a great program and were very well received by a very appreciative audience. Student Anna Bagshaw did an excellent job of opening the concert on the piano.
On Sunday afternoon, an appreciative and capacity audience enjoyed the toe tapping music of The Blazing Fiddles at the historic Gravenhurst Opera House. This was the first concert of the new season sponsored by the Muskoka Concert Association. This was the first visit The Blazing Fiddles have made to Muskoka. Hopefully we will see and hear them more often.
This past weekend, audiences were treated to the Voice Of A Nation presentation, an incredible array of poetry, music and dance. The Opera House is very proud to have collaborated with the Muskoka Concert Association on this incredible creation by First Nation composer Ian Cusson featuring the Toronto Concert Orchestra Ensemble under the direction of Maestro Kerry Stratton.
